Since you are relaxed, focused and ready to turn your intention toward making money (energetically) let’s get your supplies together.

You will need the following:

a red candle (a taper works fine)
a dollar bill
a red pen
fennel seeds
tape

First light your red candle. You can also light some incense if you’d like (try sandalwood or frankincense and myrrh) and put on some relaxing music.

Take the dollar bill and write in the red pen right across the face of it: $$$OBEAH DAMBALLAH WEDO$$$

Write your full name underneath it.

Now fold the dollar (with the words on the inside) into a pouch, leaving a flap to close it. Use the tape on the sides so it will be able to securely hold the fennel seeds. Add one teaspoon of fennel seeds to the dollar bill pouch. Fold over the flap the you left and tape it shut. Make sure it is completely secure and no seeds can fall out.

Put the pouch in front of the candle and leave the candle to burn all the way down to a stub.

You will take the candle stub and pouch and put it in the place where you pay your bills.

This charm is good for three months. You can redo it again and again. When the three months is up you must burn the dollar bill and scatter the seeds outside your front door. Do not skip this step. Do not spend the dollar. The seeds and the dollar are a voodoo offering.

When you complete any working no matter how simple it is polite to thank the Goddess by saying blessed be.

Now that you are relaxed and groovy about your money and saying your manta we need to help focus your energy toward prosperity.

Here is a method to do that:

The Alpha State

There are several exercises that you can do to help develop your Alpha State which will ultimately help you to focus  as well as increase your state of calm.

Before beginning any focus exercise, such as lighting a candle and focusing on the flame make sure you ground yourself, center yourself and count yourself into an Alpha State (a highly meditative state).

Grounding: to ground yourself there are two methods, the standing method which requires you to feel your feet connected directly to the floor or ground. Then feel your energy pour through your feet into the floor or ground. This may take several tries before you feel it happening but you will feel the dispersion of your energy to the ground, which will connect you to the material plane.

The other method is the sitting method, if you are seated on the floor or ground you simply need to put your hand or hands on the floor or ground and radiate your energy into the earth. This will ground you.

Centering: to center yourself you need to feel a ball of energy in the region of your solar plexus. This energy will feel calming. Feel this energy coalesce and then you will be ready to take yourself into an Alpha State.

Alpha State: to move yourself into an Alpha State you will count back from 10 to 1. When you do this, close your eyes and see each number in your mind. Do not do this quickly; you must take time to fully relax into the Alpha State. Once you reach the number 1 you will be in an Alpha State. This is just beyond a normal waking state. You will have all your faculties and are not in a Delta State which is a sleep or deep trance state. Now you can begin your focus work.

I’ve been casting money spells for clients and for myself for so many years that it is second nature to me. It’s an automatic response when someone comes to me with financial issues, whether they are a client or friend. Recently I’ve offered one of my best money magick spells the Ancient Chinese Tri-Gram Prosperity Spell at a significant discount on the website and this has quickly become an extremely popular spell. Since I am casting it constantly now (along with other job specific and adundance spells) I thought I might discuss some things that you can do to ease your concerns about money.

RELAX! I know that sounds impossible but with a calm mind you have a much greater chance to work magick (even subtle) and focus your energies toward a goal.

Try this: when you feel yourself starting to panic or your mind is racing use this mantra to calm yourself

NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO

You say it like it sounds nahm mm-yo ho reng gay kyo .

This is known as the Daimoku in Buddhism. Chant this up to 108 times in one sitting to calm and relax your mind.

The meaning of this mantra is literally, “Devotion to the Mystic Law of the Lotus Sutra”. It’s about karma, which is represented by the lotus.

The chant was first used by the Buddhist monk Nichiren in the 13th century and has been chanted thereafter for almost 800 years. Use the power of these words to bring you to a clam and centered state.

Once you are calm and relaxed I will discuss in my next post how to take your calm mind to the next level.

I am still a little under the weahter from a holiday cold but well enough to cast certainly and eager to complete this special once per year spell.

I had a great Full Moon casting on the 13th. Oh I love to cast on a 13th - what an auspicious number!

It was a busy moon and I started with a short ritual to the Goddess and then got to work right away. I knew I was in for a long night and when the sun was rising just as I was completing the final spells, I felt like the Goddess had given me extra energy to see it through. I usually cast over a two to three day period on the full moon and still had spells left for the next night but I was happy to have completed so many.

Many of my spells take three to five days to complete and some can even take a week or longer, so those require a bit more dedication of time and energy. I keep many candles going which can be a little troublesome putting them into the shower when I leave the house (so I don’t burn it down!) especially when I have quite a few going.

This time of year it’s not quite so bad as the dead of summer however when the candles do throw  a bit of heat in the meditation/altar room.

It’s getting so cold here during the day. Tomorrow it will be only 60 degrees and 30 degrees at night. I’m actually looking forward to it because the bonfire is so much more pleasant when it it is chilly during my castings.

I had some remarkable custom spells that I worked on this past month for several clients and I throughly enjoyed the challenge they presented me. There is nothing I like more than to keep expanding my magick. A couple of my clients had such involved castings that it took a  weeks to finish all of them. Casting spells that are this unique is always an adventure.

I cannot believe the holidays are almost upon us. I have some terrific magick for the end of the year and for the New Year and I hope you will be a part of it.

Turning 40 is a watershed moment in anyone’s life but for a witch it means that she has reached the first of the “Wisdom Ages” in her life.

At this point everything that I know as a witch, all the spells I have cast, all the energy I have raised, this has all become a deep part of my essence on the material plane and has formed a cloak of karma and an aura of magick around me. Will it make me a better witch?

You bet! And a more powerful witch too.

I recall my mentors discussing reaching the “Wisdom Ages” and how it changed their daily practice. I have already begun to feel a shift away from symbolic and sympathetic magick to quantum and spiritual magick and I believe I will see this take shape on an even more intense level in the future.

I am excited because tonight I will be casting my first spell celebrating this new focus, using more science in my magick than ever before.
